Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is the Map the Arts project about?

The goal of this project is to create a baseline understanding of arts and culture organizations and projects across Contra Costa County because arts and cultural organizations make our communities more vibrant, connected, and beautiful, especially grassroots groups that often reflect and lift up the historically marginalized communities they represent. Unfortunately, most of these organizations have been operating under the radar of those outside of their direct communities—including funders and others who could help expand their work. With Map the Arts, we hope to change that.
